Okay, maybe not. Last February I decided to try a series or book. So I downloaded the Kindle version and quickly read it. After seeing how incredibly practical the book is, I wanted to get it into the hands of every teenager in our ministry. I appreciate the solid content, and so did our small groups as they watched intently and leaned in to listen. We purchased the four-week small-group DVD set and gave each leader a copy of the book a month in advance. In the back of the book is a small-group video discussion guide.

As youth ministers, we want our students to make great choices for their lives. We see countless students get into spiritually harmful dating relationships. We sit across the table from the young man that sees the sin he and his girlfriend are in and wants out. It breaks our hearts every time. We sometimes feel that if we delivered the right sermon at the right time, maybe it would solve a problem for one of our students.
Because of this we may teach things to students that are often shortsighted.
There is also a print with 40 cheap and fun group dates. That is a If you say, “We are having a lesson on dating this Sunday”, record numbers will show up. It is what Dating is one of the standards that the youth must raise.
When you became a Christian, a transformation took place in your life. You became a new creation and that means that you now have a new way to live 2 Corinthians What you find is that Jesus has something to say about how you are living in every area of your life, and He wants you to obey Him. The first in our series can be found here. It would be really awesome if we could find a clear Bible verse that provides a clean and concise picture of what it looks like to biblically date, deal with the opposite sex, and find a spouse. For all of these reasons and more, it is important to have regular conversations on and to provide messages on dating, sex, marriage and relationships. The primary passage I use when dealing with this topic is Ephesians For me, the importance of this passage is found in how Paul connects marriage to the Gospel.
The idea of covenant love and commitment is lost in a culture that sees marriage as a commodity. We can see this in the world of serial dating our teens live in: there is commitment until something goes wrong or someone better comes along. As a student minister, I come back to Ephesians as my primary teaching point for marriage, dating, sex and relationships for four main reasons:. The bond between Christ and the Church is inseparable. Whenever I teach on this subject, I always point out that patience and discernment are important.
